Algotex was born in 1990 thanks to the intuition of Raimondo e Matteo Cattabriga. With more than 30 years of extensive experience in apparel production and applied software, they made the innovative decision to develop a digital plotter for the garment manufacturing industry.
This intuition, stemming from continual research for efficient and practical solutions in all garment production phases, was to employ Raster Graphics as opposed to the commonly used Vector Graphics.
Additionally, Algotex’s choice to combine Raster Graphics with Ink Jet Technology proved to be the key for improving plotting performance with respect to the old industry standard of Pen Plotters, an outdated technology which even today is still the choice of most competitors.
Algotex has since grown to become a worldwide leading producer of printing machines for apparel production.
With new offices in Crevalcore, located in the heart of Italy’s Emilian province, Algotex now has a production capacity that boasts of more than 10,000 plotters installed throughout the world via a network of authorized distributors.
